This distillate called “Marc” in Catalonia and “Orujo” in the rest of Spain is made from the distillation of the pressed grape residue. In the skin of grapes are found concentrated aromas of each variety, and by distillation we obtain a liquor that keeps all this essence.
This distillate ages in French oak “Limousin” barrels for at least 6 years.

Marc is a liquor distilled from the residue grapes from our estates, that is, those solid parts from the grape harvest that are not used for wine or cava. These are the stalks, skin, stone and flesh of grapes from the first soaking and fermenting grapes.
We seek for the maximum expression and harmony in our Marc through maceration, distillation and aging processes. It has aged for 6 years in Limousin oak barrels in our distillery located in Vilafranca del Penedès, one of the few wine distilleries in Catalonia (Spain).
The aging process, overseen by a winemaker from Mascaró family, allows us to obtain an optimal alcohol grade which express the aromatic complexity of Marc.
Can be consumed with an ice cube.
We recommend enjoy Marc in moderation.
